In order that a struggle for the reign would not arise again and no new rival would emerge, he signed a great massacre and killed all the men in the sultanate family except his own sons and secured his reign.

Shah jahan was able to take over the administration of his country after he had all the heirs of the sultanate killed except his own sons and secured his reign. However, Shah jahan was a ruler who was fond of debauchery like his father, jahangir Khan. He could not achieve any military and administrative success during his rule, and he turned a blind eye to the activities of the British Colonists, who emerged during the reign of his father, jahangir khan. Although the commercial activities of the British colonialists brought a significant tax revenue to the country, the trade routes and privileged trade agreements, which acted as a bridge for the British who would conquer the Indian peninsula , accelerated the process that led to the destruction of the Mughal Empire.
